Indie Film Nights was created by Charles Street, Jr., in the summer of 2006. Because of so many great film enthusiasts and storytellers not having a good home to showcase there projects a virtual night for showcasing independent works was born.
My mindset was to "show Hollywood", right! Like so many others who inspire to dream big, I believed that if it was build, "they" would come. Being from Riverside, California I didn't want to jump into the Los Angeles arena as I felt tath it would side track my mission of simple story telling, so I opted for the beautiful sunny Palm Springs, California.
In March of 2007, local film director Christian Sesma, put IFN on the map by allowing us to sponser an opening night for his film, On Bloody Sunday. It went well! We were excited from all of the doors that were opening up as a direct result opening night at Ignition Cafe & Palm Springs Coffee House.
Our passion for film has allowed us to maintain our standing and grow as a group, which has allowed us to product commercials, independent film and the ability to share with the world via the web.
Keep in mind that this site is for those of us who are passionate about independet film making and all of the supporting elements make up att the film families including musicians, actors, staff and organizations that help us with distribution.
We thank you for your input and we appreciate your support.
As you are aware, there can be a challenging side to anything including independent film makeing. Unfortunately, that comes in the from of what makes our craft unique and that is "indepencence". In order to remain without restriction to what and how we tell stories we rely on our supporters to finance our vision and maintain our presence.
If you have anything that you would like to donate, please use the "contact us" link below. We are looking for any items that you can get to us for the betterment of film production.
